Volunteer at the Irshim Station
FUNDECOIPA offer volunteer opportunities to people who actively wants to engage in community development and conservation, experience the Amazon and learn about the Shuar culture.
The volunteers will primarily be living in the Shuar community Arutam, which is the head office of FUNDECOIPA and Arutam Rainforest Reserve.
Furthermore, we offer the opportunity to visit other Shuar and Quichua communities in the surrounding forest as well as exploring our amazing 2710 hectare reserve situated right next to the community.
Volunteering with FUNDECOIPA is not only about work. It is also a cultural exchange and opportunity to learn about the Shuar culture and volunteers will be living and eating with Shuar families and are invited to participate in all community activities.
