Projects
Medical clinic
Currently We are constructing a medical clinic in the Arutam community. The region is inhabited by 5500 Shuar indians that are currently only serviced by one nurse. The objective with the clinic is to provide medical service to the 32 Shuar communities in the Pastaza province as well as being a center for investigation in the use of local medicinal plants.
The project was initiated in 2007 with the help from Australian donors and the construction expected to finish in November 2007.
However, we are still looking for funds for the equipment of the clinic as well as medical staff to attend the clinic and make trips into the interior to service the more isolated communities.
