Most volunteers arrive alone or in couples, but we also receive a number of student groups and each year. The students and groups provide a valuable service to the community and conservation program as well as a great experience and cultural exchange for the participants.

Groups participate on the normal terms as other volunteers, but will normally be working on a short specific project that is feasible within their stay. As most groups only stay around week we also mix the work with social activities and forest walks in order to give the participants as good an insight into the project, Shuar culture and Amazon as possible, while realizing a useful work project. Moreover, it’s a great way for participants to get hands on experience and learn through listening, serving, and observing.
